Promoting Alternatives
to Violence through Education

Project PAVE’s mission is to empower youth to end the cycle of violence.

The purpose and vision of Project PAVE is to provide effective, culturally-relevant violence prevention education, victim identification, and counseling services in underserved Denver communities.

In 2008, Project PAVE counselors facilitated individual, group, and family counseling with 267 victims of violence; provided victim rights information, personal advocacy, resource linkage, and victim compensation assistance to 164 youth victims; worked with 103 parents to strengthen and rebuild familial bonds; and reached nearly 4,000 students, teachers, and parents through the school-based violence prevention curriculum.
